Introduction

I don't live very close to a Starbucks and even when I am I don't purchase coffee very often. Just for the simple fact that it cost so much. For a Venti Soy Cafe Mocha it will cost you around $4.50. ( It cost an extra 30 to 50 cents sometime more just for the soy milk). So I have been practicing with a coffee/ espresso maker that I have had for 2 years and just now decided to touch.

~This recipe may need another tbsp of cocoa. Let me know what you think.~

Ingredients

1 to 1 1/2 Cups soy milk (depends if you use steamer or microwave.)
    2 Shots Espresso

    5 Tsp Natural Sugar

Directions

1. Make 2 shots of "Starbucks" espresso or a very deep roast of your choice and set aside.

2.While making espresso measure out cocoa and sugar in to a cup. When espresso is done mix with cocoa- sugar mixture. Make sure there are no clumps.

3.Steam soy milk to 140 F do not get to hot or your mocha will taste more like fudge brownie. (which is another starbucks drink).

4. Pour steamed soy milk ( with out froth) in with coffee mixture and enjoy.

If you don't like a very strong dark chocolate taste add less chocolate.

I'm going to try this with almond milk. I haven't yet found an acceptable tasting substitute for MacDonald's mocha. - 1/7/10
