Introduction
This is a recipe I found on the 'net and wanted to share since it's about time for winter weather to roll in. This is a recipe I found on the 'net and wanted to share since it's about time for winter weather to roll in.Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
-
2.25 pounds ground beef
2 cans diced potatoes, do not drain
2 cans green beans, do not drain
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
2 cups chopped cabbage
Black pepper
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
Directions
1. Brown ground beef, onions and bell pepper. Season with some black pepper. Drain fat and set aside.
2. In a large pot, add diced potatoes, green beans, chopped cabbage, corn, and tomato juice. Add ground beef, onions, and bell pepper.
3. Bring to a boil and let simmer until cabbage leaves wilt.
This recipe makes about 12 servings, freezes wonderfully, and goes well with cornbread on a cold winter's night. If you prefer, you can add different vegetables to suit your family's tastes. I just didn't have any carrots handy or they would have joined the jamboree. Enjoy!
