Ingredients

    1 lb. ground turkey breast
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    1 white onion, chopped
    1 can (14 oz.) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
    1 can diced tomatoes, any flavor, undrained
    1 1/2 cup water (more if thinner chili is desired)
    2 tbls. paprika
    2 tbls. oregano
    3/4 tsp. cumin
    1 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. onion powder
    red pepper flakes (to taste)

Directions

1. In large pot, brown turkey over medium heat. When turkey starts to break up, add onion and pepper and sautee until onions are translucent.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 6 large, 2-cup servings.
