Ingredients

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 can chicken gumbo
    1/4 C ketchup
    1/2 can water
    5 Hamburger buns

Directions

Brown ground beef. Rinse and return to pan.
Add chicken gumbo, ketchup, and water.
Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally, about ten or fifteen minutes. Serve on hamburger buns. Enjoy!

    This is the sloppy joe recipe I grew up on. I also add chili powder and mustard to taste for a little extra flavor. The best sloppy joes in my opinion! - 6/21/09

    I had a sloppy joe once that was the best ever made with chicken gumbo soup...am anxious to try this to see if it is the one! - 10/13/12
