Introduction
I make this in my Hamilton Beach Single Serve Blender and take with me to work. I'm not a breakfast person, but it's very important to get a healthy breakfast! This smoothie has two kinds of fruit, non-fat yogurt for some good protein and is very filling. If you want, you could add a scoop of fiber powder or protein powder if you'd like. Ingredients
-
1 medium peach, fresh or frozen with no sugar added
1/2 cup of orange juice
3/4 cup of non-fat light yogurt
6 ice cubes
Directions
Combine the peaches, orange juice, yogurt and ice in the blender. Use a wooden spoon to mix it around a bit to make sure that there is both liquid and some of the ice/ frozen fruit near the blades. Blend until smooth; might need to remove the lid and poke the ice/ frozen fruit back down towards the blades.
Enjoy on your way to work or as a snack. Would also be a lovely dessert in the hot summer months. Could garnish with whipped cream if desired. Also try experimenting with different kinds of fruit and juice, and different flavors of yogurt to make unique variations.
