Ingredients

    3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 medium onion sliced thin
    3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 cup uncooked rice
    1 cup frozen peas
    1 lb hamburger
    1 can tomato soup
    1 soup can of water

Directions

In a greased casserole place the potatoes covering the bottom. On top layer the onion, then carrots, rice, peas, and hamburger. Mix the soup and water together and pour over all ingredients. Cover and bake in a 350F oven for two hours.

    This is a great recipe, I always ate this growing up, we have it about once a week now. I use ground chicken or turkey instead of the beef, whole wheat rice instead of white, and low fat tomato soup . Yummy - 1/6/09
