Ingredients
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup red cooking wine
12 oz. New York Strip steak
1 jar Ragu Chunky Garden Combination
Directions
Heat 1 tbsp margarine in pan over medium-high heat until melted. Add garlic and saute 1-2 minutes. Add red cooking wine and cook until wine begins to bubble. Add whole steak and cook on each side 2 minutes to get steak to rare.
Remove steak and place on cutting board. Add jar of Ragu to pan with wine and mix well. Reduce heat to medium.
On cutting board, slice steak into thin strips. After sauce is heated thoroughly, layer steak slices on top and allow to steak to cook to desired temperature (3 minutes to med-rare, 6 minutes for well done depending on thickness of slices).
Serve sauce over your favorite pasta. Makes about 4 servings.
Note: The sauce is good for about 2/3 of a box of pasta if you like a good hearty serving of sauce.
