Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    16 ounces ground beef, 90% lean
    3/4 cup Jiffy baking mix
    8 ounces cottage cheese, 2%
    1 egg
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1/4 cup water
    3/4 cup shredded cheddar
    1 T worcestershire sauce

Directions

brown beef. Add onions and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix in Worcestershire and add pepper to taste.
Mix baking mix with water to make a dough. Roll out to fit 9 in pie pan. Place in pan and pat in place.
Beat egg and mix with cottage cheese.
Put meat mixture in pie. Put cottage cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle cheddar on last. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Makes 4 servings.

    I used lowfat cottage cheese and motzarella cheese so I think my fat content was less. It was really good! My family liked it also. - 1/20/09
