    16 oz total of berries
    (I used equal parts raspberries, blueberries and blackberries)
    1 cup of sugar
    1.5 cups of water


To Make Simple Syrup:
combine sugar and water in saucepan, bring to boil
when mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 3-5 minutes
remove from heat and let cool to room temperature or cooler

To Make Sorbet:
put berries in blender or food processor and puree until smooth
add simple syrup and blend until smooth
transfer mixture to ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions
transfer to container and freeze until desired consistency
if you do not have an ice cream maker, the mixture can be transferred directly to freezer
