Introduction
This is a great recipe that 's versitile for any berry/juice combo. I used the suggested pancake syrup, but am going to try the better substitution, honey. Also, easy to add flax/oats to for a higher fiber choice. I have a lot of trouble getting fruits into my diet, and I don't like bananas, so this is an awesome, fun alternative! This is a great recipe that 's versitile for any berry/juice combo. Ingredients
-
1 cup frozen strawberries or berry choice
1 cup fruit juice (I used orange)
1 cup nonfat vanilla or plain yogurt
1 tbsp. honey/maple syrup
1 sm. banana (opt.)
oat/flax (opt.)
Directions
Put all ingredients in the blender. I find it blends better to put the frozen berries in FIRST. I blend on the "smoothie" setting.
Pour into glasses and serve!
This recipe made 3 + cups of smoothie. I have 4 small children and it was plenty for all of us to share.
