Introduction

I made this recipe because my family LOVES COOKIES. I wanted to come up with a recipe that had good ingredients along with good taste, hence the "guilt less" . For a 'guilt free' version, substitute Splenda products for the white & brown sugars. Enjoy! I made this recipe because my family LOVES COOKIES. Ingredients

    1 c whole wheat flour
    1/4 c wheat germ
    1/4 c flaxseed meal
    1 c oats
    1 1/2 t baking soda
    1 t baking powder
    1-2 dash salt
    3/4 c applesauce
    1 c sugar
    3/4 c brown sugar
    2 egg white
    1 c chocolate chips (1/2 c if using mini)

Directions

Cream sugars & applesauce. Mix egg whites into creamed mixture. In seperate bowl combine all dry ingredients. Add dry to wet. Mix just to combined. (over mixing will produce tough cookies) Stir in chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet that has been lightly sprayed with non fat cooking spray.
Bake for 8 minutes at 375 degrees. Let rest on cookie sheet for 1 minute, then remove to wire rack. Makes 36 single servings.
If muffins are more your thing, omit oats and spoon into ligthly sprayed muffin pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
