Introduction
You can make these healthier by using just ground turkey or chicken and reduced fat cheese. Also, use whatever spices you like to give it that extra kick. I like cayenne and minced garlic. Ingredients
-
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 lb Laura's lean ground beef
6 slices pepper jack cheese
Directions
Mix your meats together and season as you like.
Pat them into 12 flat burgers. Place a folded slice of cheese on six burgers. Top them with the remaining six burgers. Carefully seal the edges. You want to make sure they are sealed well because the cheese can make them split. You can use cooking spray or just fry them in a little water. You can also put them in the broiler or on the grill. I cook mine for 10 minutes, flipping half way thru. You may want to adjust your times for the thickness and doneness of your particular burger. Hope you enjoy.
