Ingredients

    * *Whole Wheat Flour, 1.5 cup
    * Whole Grain Rye Flour, 0.25 cup
    * Milled Flax Seed, 4 tbsp
    * Hodgson Mill Vital Wheat Gluten with Vitamin C, 4 tsp
    * Baking Powder, 5 tsp
    * *Raw sugar, 3 tsp
    * Iodized Sea Salt, .5 tsp
    * Margarine - 60% Vegetable Oil Spread, 4 tbsp
    * Milk, 2%, 1 cup

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450.
2. In a medium size bowl combine all of the dry ingredients.
3. Next, cut in the margarine or butter. Do not blend it! Continue cutting the margarine into the mixture until it looks like coarse crumbs.
4. Mix in 1/2 cup of milk, then slowly add the rest until the mixture is moist (you may not need the full cup).
5. Lightly flour a flat surface and gently knead the mixture (knead it about 10 times, kneading it too much will mess up the mixture causing the biscuits not to turn out correctly).
6. Roll out the biscuit mix until about 3/4 in think and cut with a 2 1/2 in biscuit cutter and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
8. Serve warm with some butter and honey or jam.

This makes 12 2.5in biscuits.
