Ingredients

    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can pinto beans
    1 can cannellini beans
    ~20 oz ground turkey
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 can chopped tomatoes in sauce
    1 square baking chocolate
    .5 large onion
    2 jalapeno peppers
    2 chili (habanero) peppers
    2 tbsp dark corn syrup or molasses
    4 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp olive oil
    2 cloves garlic

Directions

Mince garlic. Dice onions and peppers.

Put beans, chocolate, and tomato products in a large pot medium-low heat.

Brown turkey over low heat with a small amount of oil. Add turkey to chili. Reserve fat for cooking onions. Cook onions, garlic, and peppers in turkey fat. Add to large pot.

Add spices and corn syrup to pot. Simmer slowly over low to medium low heat until spoon does not fall over when left upright in chili.

Makes about 12 1-cup servings.
