Introduction

This is a comfort food so the portions are not skimpy which is why there are so many calories. I think there are actually less calories because I drain and rinse the cooked meat with water before mixing with other ingredients. Feel free to half the serving size and save some for later. Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 box of Barilla Penne pasta - cooked
    1 c diced onions
    1 28 oz can Dei Fratelli tomatoes
    2 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp sage
    2 or 3 tsp La Choy soy sauce

Directions

Brown ground beef with diced onions and half of the oregano. Drain and put in colander, rinse under running water. Drain out water and put back in pan. Add other half of oregano, garlic powder, sage and soy sauce. Mix well, boil for 2 minutes stirring halfway through.Add tomatoes and cooked pasta. Heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Enjoy. For an extra treat, I mince a little onion and sprinkle on top , really makes the flavor POP!
