Introduction

Lots of meat, a few vegetables, and very spicy! Lots of meat, a few vegetables, and very spicy!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

Louis Rich Smoked Turkey Sausage (two links or entire package)
1/2 lb. Peeled and cooked frozen shrimp
1 28oz. can of no salt added diced tomatos (I did not drain mine)
    1/2 cup onion
2 or 3 whole bay leaves
    1/2 tsp ground thyme
    2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp cajun or creole seasoning

Hot sauce or Tabasco to taste. I used the generic brand from Wal-mart which isn't very strong, so I put a lot in!

Directions

Cut the sausage into medium think slices. Dice onions. Then throw everything into the slow cooker!

Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 7 hours.

Enjoy over brown rice.

Note: My version is very liquidy, almost like a soup. It is great with the brown rice because the rice soaks up the flavor.

    Good
I threw in some chopped green pepper at the end of simmering, just to keep them crisp. Very good, tasty and filling. - 3/30/09
