Introduction

This is a traditional Japanese fried rice that has been translated into English so that you can guys can try it out also. This is a traditional Japanese fried rice that has been translated into English so that you can guys can try it out also.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 cups hot rice (Japanese sticky rice preferred)
    3 slices bacon
    2 eggs (or 4 if you are serving 4 people)
    1 green pepper
    1/2 onion
    1 tbsp butter

    Seasonings:
    1 tbsp curry powder
    salt and pepper, if desired to taste
    mayonnaise (we use Japanese mayo for good taste)
    olive oil (a little for frying)
    2 tbsp tomato ketchup

Directions

1. Chop the green pepper and onion before starting. Cook the rice according to package or in rice cooker if you have one.
2. Slice the bacon into one inch strips.
3. Stir-fry the butter, bacon, & onion. When the onion and bacon look almost done, add the green pepper and fry together for one more minute.
4. add the rice and all other seasonings in the frying pan (or wok). Place in four bowls or on four plates. Keep warm.
5. Fry eggs over easy. Place egg on top of rice per person. Squiggle a small amount of ketchup on top for looks. >_< Enjoy!
