Introduction

I make these for my kids and myself for lunch during the week. It's quick and easy, and they love them. I serve them with a salad or some baby carrots or broccoli to round out the meal. Ingredients

pita, small wheat king of pita, 1 serving (1 pita has 180 calories)
Kroger pepperoni, 10 gram(s) (about 4 or 5 slices) (NOTE: these are thin slices, a little less than 10 calories each, 140 for 15)
Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 28 grams (about 1/4 a cup)
    Parmesan Cheese, shredded, 1 tbsp
Tomato Sauce, a table spoon or two
    Garlic powder, (a pinch)
    Oregano flakes (a pinch)

Directions

Spread tomato sauce around the pita. Top with pepperoni followed by cheese. Sprinkle garlic powder and oregano on the top (this is important...it adds a lot of flavor). Bake in oven at 425 for about 5 - 6 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and edges of pita are browning). I use a baking stone so that the "crust" turns out nice and crisp. Each pita is one serving. You can adjust the amount of cheese to lower the fat and calories, or skip the pepperoni and add spinach and mushrooms, or a topping of your choice instead. You can also split the pita into two circles (but that seems hard to do without tearing them so I haven't tried it).
