Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Tomatillos (3 medium)
    Sereno Pepper (1)
    Salt (1 tsp)

Directions

Put pot of water on stove to boil
Peel tomatillos, remove stems, and rinse
Add tomatillos, and sereno pepper, to boiling water
Boil for 10 minutes
Using a strainer spoon, scoop up tomatillos and put in a blender
Close cover of blender and blend for about 10 seconds
Stop, remove cover of blender, and add 1 tsp Salt
Replace cover and blend another 10 seconds
Taste salsa, if you want it spicier then add 1 tsp of the water you boiled the pepper and tomatillos in, until you get the desired kick
Let cool and enjoy, or put into a jar for later use
Stores in refrigerator for up to 1 week

    Thanks for sharing! I went with onion salt, a couple of Serrano peppers, and fresh cilantro. Great stuff! I actually used 10 tomatillos which weighed in at 1/2 a lb. - 1/7/12

    I love this recipe!!! I made this recipe in bigger amount. You can take some the seeds out the peppers so it is not hot. - 4/12/11
