Introduction
I did this leaving the gravy off because my hubby doesn't care for gravy and I figured others might not like the gravy or wanted to use a different gravy. I don't use as much salt as the recipe states. I usually just add a dash or 2. I also only use Sunflower oil instead of Vegetable or Canola oil. The Nutritional info might be diff with Vegetable or canola oil. Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless round steak
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 tbsp Sunflower oil
2 small onions, sliced
1/4 cup water
Directions
Trim excess fat from steak; pound steak into 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet. Cut into serving size pieces.
Combine 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 tsp salt, & 1/4 tsp pepper. Dredge steak in flour mixture; lightly pound floured steak. Cook steak in hot oil in skillet until browned, turning steak once. Add sliced onion and water; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until tender.
Makes about 4 servings.
