Ingredients

    - 100 mL rice
    - 200mL water
    - 1mL salt
    - 375mL whole or 2% milk (the more fat the creamier)
    - 60mL sugar
    - 2mL vanilla
    - 25mL raisins (optional)
    - 1mL cinnamon (optional)

Directions

1) Put the rice and water and salt all in a pot and cook. (Let it boil first, and then turn it down to minimum and cover with a lid until water is all gone and rice is soft)
2) While the rice cooks, take the milk and add the sugar and vanilla to it. Stir to dissolve sugar.
3) When the rice is cooked, add the milk mixture to the pot and stir. Turn up the heat to medium or a little higher. YOU MUST CONSTANTLY STIR OR ELSE THE RICE WILL BURN AND STICK TO THE POT! It will be done in about 10~15 minutes.
4) When the mixture has become thick and creamy, it is done. If you wish, you can stir in the raisins in the last few minutes of cooking. Do not add them beforehand, they will become soggy.
5) Before eating, you can sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
6) Refrigerate if desired.
