Introduction
I find that after cooking other things i get left with half a cabbage or half a pack of bacon ... i did this to use it up on one occasion. I thought it was yummy. And it could all be done in the saucepan used for boiling the cabbage.

Ingredients
-
Half a pack of smoked streaky bacon.
1 small cabbage or half a large one
2 Cups of sliced mushrooms
1 can of campbells mushroom soup (concentrated)
3 floz milk
salt and coarse ground pepper.
Directions
Remove the core from the cabbage and slice so you get strips of cabbage place this in boiling water for 10 mins (take it off the heat at 10 mins) while you slice up the bacon into small squares (just cut the rashers crossways to give inch squares)
Clean and slice the mushrooms
Fry up the bacon until crispy, adding the mushrooms about halfway through.
If the bacon produces too much fat drain some off and add in the (drained) cabbage (carefully in case of splashing of fat)
stir all together and add the can of soup.
continue to stir , if it's too thick add a little milk continue to heat until the cabbage is soft (like pasta) add a good pich of pepper and salt to taste.
I usually set the hob to high and turn it down as i go.
I reckon this should serve 2 for a dinner
