Ingredients

    2 cups canned Green beans
    1 small onion, diced
    3 slices bacon, chopped
    3 tsp splenda
    1 tbsp smart balance buttery spread

Directions

Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bacon and cook until done. Add green beans and splenda and cook about 20 minutes. (The longer you cook the better they will be.) Makes 4 1/2 cup servings.

    I misread the recipe and put in 3 TBS of splenda!!!! WAY too sweet!!! I will highlight the tsp, so I don't make that mistake again. Also, I think I will get the bacon crispy before adding it to the butter and onions. I used turkey bacon, and I think I should have used regular. - 2/21/11

    Very Good
    I made these last night but used fresh beans instead of canned. It was quite tasty. Very similar to what my mommakes but this has lots fewer calories. - 5/14/09
