Introduction

Instead of passing-by these baby ferns in the grocery store, try this as an alternative to asparagus, green beans or artichoke! Instead of passing-by these baby ferns in the grocery store, try this as an alternative to asparagus, green beans or artichoke!

Ingredients

    2 oz. Fiddleheads
1 Tablespoon salted butter (you could use olive oil instead)

Directions

Trim the ends of the stems of the fiddleheads. Using water to assist, remove the brown husks (sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not). Steam fiddleheads for 10-15 minutes. Be sure to cook thoroughly, otherwise your tummy might get upset. Serve with or without a little butter or olive oil.
