Ingredients

    1/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. raw rice
    1 pkg. chicken noodle soup mix
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme

Directions

In skillet, heat butter. Saute onions, celery, and rice until golden. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes.
