Ingredients

    1 1/3 Cups Water
    4 tsp Unsalted butter
    2 tbsp Splenda
4 tsp Non-fat dry milk powder
    2 tsp salt
    2 cups bread flour
2 cups whole wheat bread flour
    2 tsp bread machine yeast

Directions

Add ingredients to your bread machine according to manufacturer's directions. Select the 2 lb loaf setting and color desired if available. Use the machine's whole wheat setting if available.

During the kneading cycle, check the consistency of the doughball. If the ball appears sticky or wet, like pancake batter, sprinkle in flour, a Tbsp at a time, until the ball appears smooth, round and dry, and circles nicely in the pan.

If the doughball appears flaky, or you hear your breadmaker begin to make "knocking" sounds, the ball is too dry. To correct this, simply sprinkle in water a tsp at a time, until the ball appears smooth, round and dry, and circles nicely in the pan.

Allow the bread to complete its cycle as indicated.
