Vegetarian Patties full of protein and taste! Make your own and save some money at the grocery. I freeze these and they freeze separate, just wait for them to cool before you put them in a bag. Ingredients

    4 cups of cooked Lentils
    1 cup of crushed walnuts
    2 eggs beaten
    1tsp of Oregano
    2 tsp of Cumin
    2 tsp of Mustard
    about 12 cloves of Garlic
    1 1/2 cups of onion
    1 1/2 cup of Flax Meal
    3/4 cup of Milk
    2 TBSP of Olive Oil
    Salt & Pepper

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Form patties and cook on frying pan until lightly browned.

Serve or store in refrigerator for one night and then freeze cooled patties in freezer for individual use.

    I made half of this recipe last night for dinner. The patties turned out really good. I used basil instead of oregano since I was out. Will make these again soon. - 7/1/09
