Introduction
I like to use a very ripe banana for this. Adjust the amount of water to make thicker or thinner oatmeal. Kids wil love this too! I like to use a very ripe banana for this. Adjust the amount of water to make thicker or thinner oatmeal. Kids wil love this too!Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 large banana, sliced
2 TBLS brown sugar, packed
2 TBLS sugar free maple syrup
Directions
Bring the water to a boil in a medium sized pot. Add the oatmeal and stir to combine.
Add the banana slices, sugar and syrup. Stir.
Let cook for about 3 minutes stirring once in a while. Cooking longer will make a thicker oatmeal, as will letting it rest off the heat before serving.
