1 can of cooked pinto beans (or any other variety that you enjoy)
1.5 cups tomato sauce
6 cups shredded cabbage (firm green kind works best)
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons of honey (substitute with agave nectar)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large clove of garlic, chopped

For additional texture, try serving some fresh avocado slices on the side. Any grain dish will work, but we prefer this sweet and sour bean and cabbage dish with freshly cooked calrose white rice. Enjoy!
