Ingredients

    Cake Ingredients:
    2 Cups Wheat/White flour
    2 Cups Granulated Sugar
    2 Egg
    1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 can (21oz) Apple pie filling
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground

    Icing ingredients:
    2 Cups Powdered Sugar
    1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    3oz low-fat Cream Cheese

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine all cake ingredients and mix with a mixer.

2. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 pan. Pour mixed ingredients into pan and spread evenly. Cook 45-60 mins until browned and cooked through.

3. While cake is baking make icing. Mix cream cheese and butter and beat. Add in vanilla and powder sugar a 1/4 cup at a time. Keep beating until mixed through.

4. When the cake is cooked and cooled spread icing on cake evenly.

Cut cake and enjoy. Makes about 20 small pieces.

**note to add some may want to cut back the sugar on this recipe. I had considered it but my husband loved it so much this way I left it. I think he has a bit of a sweet tooth thtough lol. If I was just making this for me though I would cut the sugar down a bit though.

***Could also try subbing in plain applesauce for the eggs. I will try this on my next batch and update this.
