Introduction
Easy to make tortilla chips, though they have more of a consistency of tortillas-- chewy and soft. They can be made crispier, and work well as chips with any kind of dip! Ingredients
-
flour, baking powder, salt, vegetable oil, water
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Let sit for 20 minutes.
It will now be a doughy consistency. Roll the dough into one-inch balls. It should make about 25-30 "chips." If you want, instead of making chips, try making larger tortillas! I think that would work fine, too.
Roll the balls out with a rolling pin, and cut the flat pieces of dough as small as you want them.
Put a skillet over high heat. Lightly dab the chips with some oil on both sides, and throw as many as you can fit onto the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes (you'll start to see the chips bubble up), then flip them over for another 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, and continue baking the rest of your chips!
Serve warm with some guacamole, salsa, hummus, or whatever you like! Enjoy :)
