Ingredients

3 oz or 1/2 cup roasted, unsalted almonds
1/2 cup sunflower kernels, unsalted
1cup rolled oats, instand or otherwise
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup dried cherry flavored cranberries
1/2 cup maple syrup (The real stuff)
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract (NOT imitation)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add your almonds, sunflower kernels and oats to a bakery sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a small pot, put the maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla in. Let it heat for about ten minutes to infuse the flavors of the cinnamon and vanilla. Add the maple syrup to the almonds, sunflower kernels and oats and mix well with your fingers. Pat into a layer and then pop into the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until you can smell the almonds.
Let cool on the tray for about ten minutes. Add the dried fruit and mix well.
Makes just under 6 half cup servings.
