Introduction

The absolute best way to serve brown rice to those who don't ordinarily appreciate it. The absolute best way to serve brown rice to those who don't ordinarily appreciate it.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 ½ cups brown rice
    3 cups water
    1 Tbsp Italian seasoning

    2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 large onion, diced
    4 – 6 cloves of garlic (can’t have too much garlic)
    2 jalapeño peppers, minces (omit seeds and membrane to achieve mild flavor)
    1 other pepper of choice, I used a pablano pepper, minced
    1 sprig Italian oregano, discard stem and mince the leaves

    1 26.5 oz can of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I use garlic and onion style)


Directions

Serves 6

Put your rice on to cook with the Italian seasoning.

Meanwhile; in a deep skillet, sauté the aromatics, except the oregano, in the olive oil. When they have become tender, add the oregano and sauté for another 3 minutes. Add the spaghetti sauce and mix. Add the rice and combine all thoroughly.
