Introduction

Nice and sour! Uses protein powder, frozen mixed berries, lemon juice, Balkan-style yoghurt, and cane sugar to balance the tartness (you can use honey or another sweetener if you prefer). You can make any changes you'd like, including adding a handful of chocolate chips or using less lemon juice, and you'll still have a great-tasting smoothie. Lots of fibre, protein, and nutrients! I have one after an aerobic workout. Enjoy! :) Nice and sour! Ingredients

6 cups - Frozen mixed berries - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
1/4 cup - Organic cane sugar
1/4 cup - Lemon juice (concentrate)
    750g container - Astro 0% Natural Ingredients yoghurt (
2 scoops - Protein 2Go Designer Whey, blueberry flavour
1/4 cup - Heavy whipping cream - optional

Directions

Puree the frozen berries in your food processor first, then add the sugar and protein powder, then add the rest of the ingredients. Makes up to 6 x 2cup servings - depends on how pureed your mix is, and whether you've added ice, vanilla, juice, bananas, water, or other ingredients. Whipping cream is added to the calorie counts, but you don't have to include it. I freeze any leftovers as a substitute for ice cream, so adding a little whipping cream lets it freeze better. Some people might enjoy a banana in this, but I'm not supposed to eat them due to a medication I'm taking. You can also try adding vanilla extract, nuts, or a handful of bittersweet chocolate chips. Non-thickening fibre powders, such as Benefibre, might also be added if you wish. You really can't mess up this recipe (only your kitchen!)
