Introduction

This is a Slow Cooker/Crockpot recipe. This is a Slow Cooker/Crockpot recipe.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 turkey drumsticks (about 1.75 lbs.)
    3 carrots, peeled and sliced
    3 stalks celery, thinly sliced
    1 onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. Bell's Seasoning, or 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
    4 cups organic chicken broth
    3 cups water (I use spring or filtered)
    8 oz. uncooked egg noodles
    1/3 cup parsley
    Salt & pepper, to taste

Directions

Place drumsticks, carrots, celery, onion, garlic and poultry seasoning in slow cooker; pour in broth and water. Cover; cook on HIGH 5 hours or until meat is falling off bones.

Remove turkey; set aside. Add noodles. Cover; cook 30 minutes more or until noodles are tender. Meanwhile, remove and discard skin and bones from turkey; shred meat.

Return turkey to slow cooker. Cover and cook until turkey is warmed through. Stir in parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • OMG! This soup is out of this world! I tweaked it a little by using four cups of vegetable broth, one can of chicken broth and one half a can of water. I also used four turkey drumsticks (only because I had to use them before they went bad) and it worked out great. I highly recommend this recipe! - 2/11/18
