Introduction

I think my hummous is the best, although the garlic turns a lot of people off. It can be frozen and keeps for a long time. It's a great opportunity to get some raw flax seed oil into your diet. Ingredients

    2.5 cups cooked lentils
    1/2 cup tahini
    2 tbsp flax seed oil
    1/4 cup water as needed
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 tsp pepper
    1 tsp red pepper flakes
    1/2 tsp paprika

Directions

Put all ingredients together except water and blend with hand blender. Add water as needed to get right consistency. I cook a bunch of chickpeas together then divide them into 2 cup portions and freeze them in old margarine containers. You can just add the other ingredients to the margarine container, blend and store.
