Introduction

Just a quick feel good meal, that works out to be tasty and relatively low carb. This is the way it was made in Hawaii, and I added some Creole Seasoning for bolder flavor. Just a quick feel good meal, that works out to be tasty and relatively low carb. This is the way it was made in Hawaii, and I added some Creole Seasoning for bolder flavor.

Ingredients

    12oz can of corned beef
    900g of fresh cabbage (~2lb, a medium sized head of cabbage)
    1/2 cup water
    1 - 1 1/2 tsp Creole Seasoning, to taste

Directions

Makes 4 equal servings

Put a large sauce pot on the stove over medium heat and brown the corned beef as much as you prefer, I like to have some browned bits evenly throughout the corned beef. Chop your cabbage into bite size pieces, however you like them, and place them over the corned beef, add some Creole seasoning, the water, and cover. Cook for about 15-25 minutes depending on how you like your cabbage.
