Ingredients

    2 tsp garlic
    1 tbsp oil
    1/2 cup onions, chopped
    1/4 cup vinegar
    2 tbsp lower sodium soy sauce
    4 tbsp STEVIVA BLEND (OR 8 tbsps sugar; OR 14-16 tbsp brown sugar)
    1-2 tbsp of cornstarch (dissolved in a small amount of water)
    water
    1/2 cup crushed pineapple (or tidbits)

Directions

Heat oil and cook onions until clear. Add garlic. In a measuring cup, measure the vinegar, and add the soy sauce. Top up to one cup with water (or use the juice from the canned pineapple). Put into sauce pan. Heat. Add steviva. After granules have dissolved, add the cornstarch. Cook until thickened. Add pineapple.
Serve over chicken or pork and rice.

Makes 4 servings (about 1/2 cup each)
