Introduction
This is a good protein bar to have for breakfast or before a workout. I know the calories are a bit high, but has lots of "good for you" ingredients and a good meal replacer. This was just an experiment to make a high protein bar at home using ingredients that I had on hand. I think they turned out pretty tasty, but let me know what you think! Ingredients
-
1 scoop Whey Protein Powder ( I used Jay Robb vanilla)
4 T Nopalina Flax Seed Plus
2 T Wheatgerm
1.5 oz Raisins (1 small box)
1 cup Oatmeal
1/4 cup Sliced Almonds
2 T Light Agave Nectar (Honey would also be good)
2 T Reduced Fat Peanut Butter (I like the crunchy)
40 mL water
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Mix all ingredients together. I used my kitchen aid to make sure the peanut butter got mixed throughout. Shape into 4 bars. I like to wrap them individually in plastic wrap.
Enjoy!
