Introduction

This is a great tasting and simple white rice that cooks in less then 30 minutes and goes great with any stew, beans, or soup. This is a great tasting and simple white rice that cooks in less then 30 minutes and goes great with any stew, beans, or soup.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 cups of water
    2 tsps salt
    1 tbs vegetable oil
    3 cups of rice

Directions

1. Place water, salt and vegetable oil in a pot. Cook on high and bring to a boil.

2. Add rice and stir. Let cook until water comes to a boil again.

3. Reduce heat to med-high, and continue to cook uncovered until water is no longer covering the rice and rice begins to look a little bit dry.

4. Reduce heat to med-low and place lid on pot. Let rice steam and stir occasionally, making sure the rice cooks completely through.

Makes 6 1-cup servings
