Introduction
A tea recipe I came up with last semester (I'm in college) because I missed sweet tea from home. I prefer strong tea lightly sweetened, so don't make this if you only like some tea with your sugar! Ingredients
-
2 Family Size Lipton Tea Bags
4 c. water
4 c. ice
1/2 c. white sugar
Directions
1. Put water, sugar and tea bags in a pot.
2. Bring to rolling boil; allow to boil for three minutes.
3. Put ice cubes into a half-gallon pitcher and pour the hot tea into the pitcher. I recommend using a plastic pitcher for this step, because the extreme changes in temperature might crack a glass pitcher.
4. Add more ice cubes or cold water as necessary. Stir. Squeeze remaining water out of tea bags and discard.
This makes 2 quarts of tea, with eight 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) servings.
