    1 meduim onion, cut into 1/4" slices
    12 red or yellow cherry/pear tomatoes, halved
    8 oz dried whole wheat pasta
    1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
    4 oz thinly sliced cooked ham, cut into strips
    3 T thinly sliced basil
    1 T garlic-flavored olive oil
    Arugula leaves (optional)


Place onion on a foli-lined broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Add tomato halves to pan; broil about 5 minutes more or until edges are brown.

Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, adding crushed red pepper to water. Drain and return pasta to pot.

Cut up onion slices, toss onion and tomato with pasta, ham, basil and olive oil. Garnish w/arugula leaves.
