Ingredients

2- Cups Dry Green Split Peas
    4- Medium Carrots
    4 -Medium Celery stalks
    4- Medium Potatoes
500 grams Bone-in ham - after bone removed
    16- Cups of water
    3- Garlic cloves
    .25 tsp Salt
    .5 tsp Pepper
    2.5 Tbsp Savory - dried
    4- Bay leaf

Make sure there is enough meat on the bone-in-ham to have at least 500 grams of meat once the bone is removed.

In a large pot, bring to boil water and bone-in-ham and keep it boiling for about 30 minutes.
Skim the top occasionally; remove the bone-in-ham from stock, let it cool a little to help in removing the meat from bone, retuning the chopped meat to the stock and discarding the bone.
Bring back to a full boil.
Had all remaining ingredients and simmer for 6 to 8 hours on a low heat, stirring it occasionally.
    Discard bay leaf and serve.
Can be garnished with little green onions.
    Enjoy!

    Take Note:
This soup can be refrigerated for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 6 months to be enjoyed at a latter date.

If soup becomes to tick in the refrigerator, had a little bit of water while warming it up on the second day, or after being frozen.
