A fast, low fat soup for cold winter days. A fast, low fat soup for cold winter days.
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    .5c. Boil in Bag Brown Rice (can use Wild Rice)
    1.5 c. 1% Milk
    .4c. Diced Lean Ham
    1.5c. Water
    .25c Potatoe Flakes
    2pkg Herbox Sodium Free Chicken Bouillon
    1tbsp Corn Starch


Directions

Add milk, 1.25c water, chicken bouillon, and rice to a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stir. Let boil for 5 mins and reduce heat to a simmer. Add ham and potatoe flakes. Let cook for 5 more minutes. Then mix one tbsp corn starch with .25c water and add to soup, stir. Let cook on low heat for 5-10 more minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Is best with a little shredded cheese but keep in mind this will add extra calories.
