Ingredients

    1 cup water
    1 orange, juiced (sub w/ apple)
    1/2 lime, juiced (sub w/ lemon)
    1 cucumber, cubed
    -----
    1/4-1/2 lb greens of your choice (Romaine, Spinach, Chard, Kale, Dandelion, Broccoli, Beet/Carrot greens, Bok Choy)*
    5 leaves fresh basil or herb of choice
    2-3 stalks celery w/ leaves
    -----
    1 green onion (sub w/ garlic, chives, etc.)
    1/2 avocado (sub w/ Tbsp flax or olive oil)
    1 Tbsp miso (sub w/ pinch sea salt)
     
     

    * Not included in nutritional info, please add separately when tracking. Be sure to vary your greens! You may start with 1/4 lb per quart recipe and work up to almost a pound.

Directions

Blend ingredients roughly in order listed for best results. Soup should be smooth, and warm if using a high-powered blender -- if not simply use warm to hot water.

This should take between 5-10 minutes from start to finish and thankfully (!) the finished product is extremely portable. Try a tumbler w/ lid or a mason jar on the go.

Makes 1 quart serving or 2 pint-sized ones.
