    jimmy dean sausage 1 lb
    ground sirloin 1 lb
    ground venison .5 lb

    Joan of Arc light Red kidney beans 40oz
    Kroger Light Red beans 15oz
    Kroger Dark Red kidney beans 15 oz
    Kroger Black Beans 15 oz
    Frozen Chopped onions 1/2 bag
    1 Packet mild chili seasoning
    Rotel tomatoes & chilis 15oz
    Peeled tomatoes in chili sauce 15 oz


Brown & crumble meat.
Add onions, & seasoning packet.
Then beans.
Simmer for 5 hours in crock pot

Makes approximately 20 servings.

  • This chili is awesome! I didn't follow the recipe exactly, but the close enough not to do a make-over version. I put in cubed venison instead of ground. And I used smoked sausage sliced on the bias instead of ground. Used a whole small onion (why frozen onion?), and the beans were different brand. - 12/27/12

    My frozen onion was because I had the 1/2 bag leftover from another meal. Occasionally I will pick them up pre-diced & frozen. **Glad you liked the recipe
