Ingredients

    Scallops:
    2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger
1 tablespoons mirin (sweet rice wine)
    1 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
    1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
1/2 to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1 lb. sea scallops

Directions

Combine first 6 ingredients with a whisk. Arrange scallops in glass pie plate, drizzle with sauce.

Place an inverted vegetable steamer in a large wok (with lid). Add enough water to the wok to come part way up the sides of the steamer. Bring water to a boil over medium heat. CAREFULLY set pie plate on top of steamer, cover and steam scallops for 10-12 minutes (for large scallops; cook less time for smaller).
