Introduction
Tasty family friendly Brussel Sprouts. Yield 6 1/2 Cup Cooked Servings Tasty family friendly Brussel Sprouts. Yield 6 1/2 Cup Cooked ServingsNumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients
* Brussels sprouts, fresh, 454 grams (16 oz)
* Maple Grove Farms 100% Pure Maple Syrup 1 Tbspn, 1
serving
* bacon - center cut oscar mayer 2 slices, 1 serving
* Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Directions
*Note: Your veggies will cook down in size. I yield 6 ~ 1/2 Cup servings cooked.
1) Trim bottom of Brussell Spout and peel away one or two leaves if necessary. Slice in half. Place in small casserole dish.
2) Cook two slices of Bacon so that the slices are approx. 3/4 of the way cooked. I use the microwave for this then blot excess grease off the meat. Using kitchen shears cut the bacon into small pieces. Add to cassarole dish.
3) Add 1 Tablespoon of Pure Maple syrup. Add 1 Table spoon EVOO. Stir so all sprouts are coated with ingredients.
4) Back at 350 stirring every 10 minutes or so to allow through cooking and to monitor cooking time of spouts. I generally use small sprouts and the cooking time is approx. 20 minutes for me.
