This is a simple base recipe for baked ziti. You can add many different ingredients, like spicy italian turkey sausage and vegetables, to add variety.
I don't like tomato sauce, but it's the healthiest option for pasta. I've added lots of veggies to make the sauce heartier and so I have less tomatoes to eat! Add any veggies you like, frozen fresh or canned, for variety and ease. I've often made this with approximately 1/2 cup of corn, as well.
