This is yummy granola . I add 1/4 C. to my other cereals for a texture/taste variety. It freezes well. Many of the ingredients are purchased from a health food store.
Revised an old recipe to make them more nutritious. You can use your mixer with it's dough hooks or use your bread machine on dough mode. Years ago I used a 1# coffee container with the ends cut out for the cutter. This time I used some "egg circle shapers" I bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. A 2 1/2" round cutter is preferred if you have one available. You might want to substitute molasses, honey or brown sugar for the sugar.
Good bread - use as you would banana bread. The original recipe came from the Fannie Farmer Cookbook but I have adjusted it a bit.
